1. Who we are
This website, viewtickermatesm.yachts, is operated by Viewtickermatesm Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 14829736, with its registered address at Unit 4, Harbour Quay Studios, 22 Marina Walk, Southampton SO14 3JF, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for personal data processed through this website. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it and the rights you have.
2. Data we collect
We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the serve simulator and respond to you.
- Contact form data: your name, email address, enquiry topic and message when you choose to contact us.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type and pages visited, recorded in standard server logs by our hosting provider.
- Consent and preference data: your cookie choice, stored in your browser's local storage.
- Game data: your best 10-serve challenge score, stored only in your browser and only if you enable functional storage. Individual serve telemetry is processed in your browser and is not sent to us.
- Analytics data: if you consent, aggregated and pseudonymised usage measurements such as page views and session duration.
3. How and why we use data
We process personal data on the following legal bases under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR:
- Legitimate interests — operating, securing and improving the website, and preventing abuse.
- Consent — analytics and functional storage, which you may withdraw at any time via Cookie Settings in the footer.
- Contract or pre-contract steps — responding to enquiries you send us.
- Legal obligation — keeping records where the law requires it.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Cookies and local storage
We use essential storage to remember your consent choice and, with your permission, analytics and functional storage. Full details, including a table of every item and instructions for opting out in your browser, are in our Cookie Policy.
5. Third-party processors
We share data only with carefully selected service providers acting on our instructions under written data processing agreements:
- A website hosting and content delivery provider, which processes server logs.
- An email service provider, which delivers and stores messages sent through our contact form.
- A privacy-focused analytics provider, used only where you have consented.
Where a processor transfers data outside the UK or European Economic Area, we rely on adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses with appropriate supplementary safeguards.
6. Data retention
- Contact enquiries: 24 months from our last correspondence, then deleted.
- Server logs: 30 days, unless needed to investigate a security incident.
- Analytics data: aggregated reports kept up to 26 months.
- Browser storage: remains on your device until you clear it or change your cookie choice.
7. Your rights under GDPR
If you are in the UK or EEA, you have the right to access your personal data; to rectification of inaccurate data; to erasure; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. In the UK this is the Information Commissioner's Office.
8. Your rights under CCPA/CPRA
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used; to request deletion; to correct inaccurate information; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
9. Security
We protect data with encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls limited to staff who need them, and regular review of our processors' security practices. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.
10. Children
The website is designed for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 through the contact form.
11. Data Protection Officer and contact
Our Data Protection Officer can be reached at [email protected] or by post at the registered address above, marked "For the attention of the Data Protection Officer". General privacy questions may also be sent to [email protected]. We respond to verified requests within one month, or within 45 days for CCPA requests.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in law or our services. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
